Terms of service
Effective July 13, 2026
These pilot terms are a practical starting point and are not a substitute for review by qualified counsel. Replace the operator name, address, governing law, refund terms, and final service commitments before taking production payments.
The service
HomeHandoff provides a private digital home passport for organizing property records, maintenance information, vendors, documents, inventory, and house-specific answers. The service may include agent branding and ownership-transfer features.
No inspection or professional advice
HomeHandoff does not inspect property, verify seller statements, guarantee equipment condition, provide emergency services, or replace advice from licensed contractors, inspectors, attorneys, insurance professionals, or other qualified experts. Records may be incomplete, outdated, or supplied by users.
User responsibilities
Users must provide accurate account information, protect access links, upload only information they have the right to use, and avoid illegal, infringing, harmful, or highly sensitive content. Users are responsible for confirming safety-critical instructions with the source manual or a qualified professional.
Ownership and permissions
Users retain ownership of their uploaded content and grant HomeHandoff the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and transfer it as directed. A home owner controls membership and may revoke collaborator access. Ownership transfer is intended to move control of the passport, not determine legal title to real property.
Availability and changes
Pilot features may change as the product is tested. We may suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse, maintain the service, or comply with law. Any paid pilot scope, delivery date, revision allowance, and refund promise should also be stated on the invoice or order form.
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. HomeHandoff does not warrant that records are complete, that reminders prevent damage, or that AI-generated answers are error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeHandoff will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by reliance on incomplete property records. Final commercial terms should include a liability cap reviewed by counsel.
